Time for Democratic soul-searching
I was deeply saddened by the senseless murder of Charlie Kirk.
I watched him in recent years transforming from a conservative organizer to a man blending his views with a deeper Christian faith and reaching out to young men. He was really becoming an evangelist and uniter.
Just as disturbing as Charlie’s murder was the vile reaction from many liberals and Democrats, lying about him, and celebrating his death. Celebrating murder?
I understand that these people – politicians, teachers and even doctors – would wish me dead, too. You people need to hit your knees and pray for forgiveness.
I could stand it no more, and after 52 years, I quit the Democrats. It’s become a mean, angry party.
The greatest problem our country faces is not simply crime or bad policies. It is the moral rot at the heart of our culture – and it is why our problems never get solved. Charlie Kirk spoke to that.
Kirk urged young men to be good husbands and fathers. To love country and live responsibly, biblically.
It’s all there on YouTube. It’s the message that should be in every school but, somehow, has been lost.
I would urge any decent Democrat to examine how their party has gone from supporting working-class values to celebrating criminals, defunding police and hating Christians. (Biden’s FBI even spied on Catholic churches.)
Trump Derangement is ugly and absurd. His positions are not far from Bill Clinton’s in the 1990s. Nancy Pelosi was once firmly against illegal immigration, as was Obama. You even hate RFK Jr. for opposing Big Pharma, a man who was not long ago, one of you.
It appears the Democrats have sold out to big-money leftists like George Soros (a Krasner donor), corporatists and foreign governments. It’s all about power, and the people be damned.
Democrats still rule the crooked cities, filled with ignorant and fearful people. Chicago, Detroit and, yes, Philadelphia are once-great cities in working-class ruins. And you run a communist “lite” for mayor of New York?
It’s time for Democrats to clean house, get back to basic family values, support the law and show some common decency toward your fellow Americans. You need new moral leadership. You need a Charlie Kirk.

Let’s end gun violence
I am a Race for Peace and Urban Navigation activist/advocate wanting to stop the spread of gun violence in Pennsylvania.
Throughout the years, I have been scheduling meetings with elected officials about this major issue.
Pennsylvania gun violence has been a well-known issue in recent years. Gun violence is a significant public health and safety issue in Pennsylvania that impacts across the state from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg to Philadelphia. Lt. Gov. Austin Davis is a vocal advocate for gun violence prevention. He has stated that his decision to run for office was driven by personal experiences with gun violence in his community. It is an unfortunate circumstance that sometimes we have experienced in the black community. But an elected political official who expresses the fact that there is a need for change to stop the gun violence in our state contributes a significant message that has volume to it.
One of Lt. Gov. Davis’ first and foremost focuses in office is gun violence. Wanting to reduce violence and keep communities safe. Gov. Josh Shapiro and Lt. Gov. Davis’ administration aims to keep a comprehensive approach to gun violence, working every day to keep the demanding goal of ensuring community violence intervention resources are available and Pennsylvanians stay safe.
The Shapiro-Davis administration is actively involved in addressing gun violence through various initiatives and strategies. Reflecting a strong commitment to addressing the complex issue of gun violence from multiple angles, combining legislative action, community based programs and support for law enforcement. A main initiative is the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, which focuses on preventing and intervening in gun and group-related violence.
Key gun reform initiatives and efforts led by the Shapiro-Davis administration include: investing in violence intervention and prevention programs; office of gun violence prevention, which develops a comprehensive strategy to reduce gun deaths, injuries and crime using evidence-based practices; advocacy for gun safety legislation; highlighting the impact of gun violence as a commonwealth through events; promoting after-school programs recognizing the importance of stopping youth violence; and addressing firearm suicide prevention.
Gun violence needs to be stopped now and futuristically.

Only following orders
Any attempt concerning civility in the last half of the 20th century has been totally forgotten. I simply don’t recognize any sanity that exists in the world’s culture. We and I mean all of us are partially responsible. Greed and “what’s best for me” seems to be the “holy grail.”
Too many of us have lost our understanding of justice and morality. Are not certain values, ethics and the rights of others inherent in all of us? We seem to have descended into Jungle Law (do it to them before they do it to you). Today in many countries the Philosophy De Jour is ethnic cleansing (an attempt to create a homogeneous geographic area through the deportation or forcible displacement of persons to a particular ethnic group). The additional problem is that this is always coupled with “Jim Crow” laws that seem to be alive and thriving. This is easy to recognize when you hear, “(expiative deleted), Get out.” You may hear it said differently but the meaning is exactly the same. It appears we have lost our civilized world with civilized rules that are administered by civilized individuals. In every country, division comes from the “top.” Here in America our Constitution is being challenged. His obedience is from followers who only show blind obedience in a step-by-step process that descends into the destruction of our precious democracy. If this division of us is successful his followers will be screaming, “I was only following orders.” (sound familiar?).
