St. Dominic Parish, 8504 Frankford Ave., lit its Christmas tree following the vigil Mass on Dec. 6.
The Rev. Brian Connolly, the pastor, offered a prayer, blessed the tree and placed the first ornament.
Parishioners enjoyed hot chocolate and sweets.
The tree is on the lawn outside the rectory.
The lawn also includes a refurbished nativity scene. ••
