Get back in class
On Feb. 9, students from Swenson swarmed around cars and blocked traffic on Roosevelt Boulevard while screaming profanities about ICE enforcement. This was at the busy intersection of Red Lion Road.
The incident was more than truancy; this was a crime. Students could have caused an accident and gotten people injured (including themselves). At minimum, they tied people up who needed to get somewhere, to work or maybe a doctor.
Do I have to remind politicians that Philly property taxes are a large burden on senior citizens? Many of us limit repairs, food or medication to pay them. Some of us have had to sell homes due to unaffordable taxes.
Fifty-six percent of our property taxes go directly to the public schools and these ungrateful students.
I’d like to know what the students’ skill levels are, given they feel they can walk out of class. Most Philly students cannot meet basic proficiency levels in reading and math.
You can watch the video on DelawareValleyNews.com. The behavior is potty mouthed and disgraceful.
It is ironic that these students are too foolish to understand that immigration enforcement makes their communities safer, and that illegals take the jobs and lower the wages of young people starting out after graduation.
The worst thing about this incident is that it seems to show what some of the teaching staff values, and that lack of responsibility toward the law and its enforcement is acceptable practice in public schools.
Whatever the problem is, I’m not getting my money’s worth. How about reducing my tax bill, say, about 56 percent? Just don’t let our students calculate the math.

Democratic pansies
State Sen. Jarrett Coleman isn’t far off. The city wouldn’t be such a “sh*thole” if Krasner would do his job. Boy, it got Brendan Boyle up in arms and he can’t even find the east side of the Boulevard. When the Democrats in the Inquirer article tried justifying Sheriff Bilal you know they didn’t know what they were talking about and lost any argument. Or they are part of the group of Democrats who keep Bilal and Krasner in their jobs because they are afraid of them and will never say a bad word about Bilal or Krasner. A bunch of weak-kneed Democratic pansies.
