BLOCS, a scholarship organization dedicated to the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit, and the sole administrator of the Economic Disadvantaged Schools programs, announced it will sponsor the 2026 Philadelphia Catholic League Championship Games, with the finals held at the Palestra on Sunday, Feb. 22.
“We are honored to sponsor this celebrated and long-standing Philadelphia tradition – the PCL Basketball Championships,” said Rob Delany, CEO of BLOCS. “Student-athletes learn discipline, teamwork and resilience — values that extend far beyond the court. At BLOCS, we believe in building what matters most, and there is nothing more important than investing in the potential of every young person.”
Thousands of students clad in school spirit colors will fill the Palestra with energy and pride. Teachers, parents, administrators and fans alike will be in attendance to showcase their support and demonstrate the unity and pride that comes with being part of their school community.
The girls semifinals are on Monday at Villanova. Archbishop Carroll meets Archbishop Wood at 5 p.m., followed by Cardinal O’Hara vs. Neumann-Goretti at 6:45.
The boys semifinals will take place on Wednesday at the Palestra. Father Judge will face Archbishop Wood at 6 p.m., followed by Neumann-Goretti vs. Bonner-Prendergast at 8.
