Echo wants love and affection

Echo was found wandering the streets of Philadelphia, alone and unsure, before being brought to the city shelter. No one came for her. But Freedom First Rescue did. When she arrived in its care, she had bite wounds and scars that hint at a traumatic past, likely at the teeth of another dog. And yet, despite everything, Echo remains gentle, affectionate and deeply trusting of the people who show her love.

Echo is deaf — or very close to it — and while she may not hear the world the same way most dogs do, she feels it just as deeply. She watches, she senses and she bonds hard with the humans who make her feel safe. She would do best in a calm, predictable home with children over the age of 10.

She’s fully potty trained and crate trained. Since arriving, Echo has completed professional training and made incredible strides. Where she was once skittish and unsure, she now walks in public with her head held high — calm, confident and proud.

To help her transition smoothly into her forever home, her trainers at Camo Dog Training have offered follow-up training sessions for her future adopters.

Echo is spayed, microchipped, fecal tested, heartworm negative, dewormed, up to date on all core vaccines, and on flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who’s overcome the odds and is still learning to love boldly — Echo is waiting.Www.freedomfirstrescue.com/echo ••
