The Burholme Community Civic Association held its monthly meeting at Oasis Manor Senior Housing, 7040-52 Oxford Ave.
Owner Josh Mathew addressed the group.
The independent senior living community offers studios and one-bedroom apartments and is open to people 62 and older. There are 57 units rented at market rate. There is no entrance fee. The Oasis Manor campus is almost 3 acres and includes three elevators. A resident coordinator is on site for activities such as bingo, and Oasis Manor recently welcomed a visit from state Rep. Anthony Bellmon.
The property has offered senior living for decades. It’s the former home of the German Baptist Home for the Aged, North American Baptist Home, Pilgrim Gardens and Wesley Enhanced Living Burholme.
