Three Injured in Separate Philadelphia Shootings Early Sunday

Philadelphia police are investigating three separate shooting incidents that left two men and one woman hospitalized early Sunday morning in different areas of the city.

The incidents unfolded over roughly a six-hour period, beginning in West Philadelphia before two additional cases surfaced later in the morning in North Philadelphia. Authorities have not reported any arrests in connection with the shootings, and detectives continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding each case.

The first shooting occurred around 3:20 a.m. on the 6000 block of Race Street in West Philadelphia. Officers responding to the area found a 39-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the knee and buttocks. He was transported to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition.

Police recovered three spent shell casings from the scene. Investigators described the suspected shooter as a thin-built male wearing all black. No additional suspect information has been released.

The second incident became known several hours later, when a man arrived at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children at approximately 6:57 a.m. seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. Police later determined the shooting occurred near the 4300 block of North American Street in North Philadelphia.

Authorities have not released the victim’s age, condition, or details about the circumstances that led to the shooting. No suspect description has been provided.

A third shooting was reported around 9:30 a.m., when a woman arrived at a hospital in North Philadelphia with gunshot wounds. Investigators said the location where she was shot had not yet been identified, leaving police without a confirmed crime scene for the incident.

The three cases were reported within a single morning but occurred in separate locations and under different circumstances. Police have not indicated whether the incidents are connected.

Detectives continue to review evidence and gather information related to each shooting as the investigations remain active.
