PAWS, which is 100 percent donor funded, has a location at 1810 Grant Ave. (near Bustleton Avenue). It’s home to a spay/neuter and wellness clinic.

• Jack O’Hara, president of the Greater Bustleton Civic League, said he has heard unofficially that UPS has dropped plans to move a large sorting facility into 1 Red Lion Road.
• Capt. Steven O’Brien, commander of the 7th Police District, provided a crime report from the last month. He said there were three residential burglaries – on the 300 block of Byberry Road, 1500 block of Stoney Lane and 2400 block of Benson St. O’Brien said the Easter Bunny will hand out candy to children on April 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at the 7th Police District, 1701 Bowler St.
• The following elected officials were represented: Councilman Brian O’Neill (by Alice Udovich), Register of Wills John Sabatina (Bob Stewart), state Rep. Sean Dougherty (Viktor Kagan) and state Sen. Joe Picozzi (Sean Roche).
• The Northeast Philadelphia History Fair will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cannstatter’s, 9130 Academy Road. The event is free and open to the public. Keynote speaker Jack McCarthy will talk on Northeast Philadelphia & the Declaration of Independence. Sam Katz will present an episode of his documentary series In Pursuit: Philadelphia and the Making of America. “Bob the Blacksmith” will lead a Northeast 250: Threads of History participatory history/art project. There will be more than three dozen exhibits from local history groups and a collection of books, maps, prints and rare photographs.
• The office of state Rep. Sean Dougherty, 7801-A Hasbrook Ave., will hold veteran service office hours on April 21. To make an appointment, call 215-331-2600.
• The Bustleton Bengals will hold a Clothing Drive and more on Saturday, April 25, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., at President Street and Conwell Avenue. The group will accept usable and wearable men’s, women’s and children’s shoes and clothing; accessories; household items; toys; and car seats and strollers. • The Greater Bustleton Civic League will meet on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. at American Heritage Credit Union, 2060 Red Lion Road. ••
