Spike needs a new playmate

Spike is a 1- to 2-year-old, 45-pound, tan and white terrier mix. Due to landlord issues, Spike is now at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A25138942.

Spike enjoys going for walks and running around the play yard. He appears to be house broken but just might need a refresher course once he finds a permanent home.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, call 267–385–3800 or visit www.acctphilly.org ••

Gracie loves being active

Gracie is a playful and active gal who loves to chase her toys and carry them around with her. She is not one for sitting still or being a lap cat — she loves to follow people around and investigate everything they do.

The 2-year-old cat, who is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue, would do well in an adult household with a kitty playmate or someone who will keep her active.

Gracie is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses. For information or to fill out an application, visit nar.rescuegroups.org ••
