The suspect entered the store at 4640 Roosevelt Blvd. at about 10:30 a.m., approached a cashier, reached into his waistband as if he had a concealed weapon and demanded money. When the worker could not open the cash register drawer, the robber fled in an unknown direction, empty handed. No injuries were reported.

Surveillance cameras recorded video of the suspect, who was described as black, 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds and with a mustache and goatee. He wore a blue and gray hoodie with “DICKIES” printed on the chest, camouflage pants, black boots and a dark cap. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to see the video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information. ••
