Thief swipes pipes from Tacony home

Workers on a home renovation project in Tacony took a break on Sunday, June 1, so a burglar went to work. He used luggage on wheels to tote copper pipes and power tools from the job site.

A surveillance camera filmed the man as he broke into the unoccupied house at about 9 a.m. He exited the property, then returned with the travel bags in tow. He spent about two hours inside the house then fled southbound on Keystone Street in a red Ford Taurus with a sunroof.

He was described as white, 20 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a beard, gray baseball cap, dark shirt and blue basketball shorts with white stripes.
