Francine is an older female terrier-pit bull mix who’s still got some spunk.

The dog was found as a stray, and is now at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. Her tag number is A22442980.

Francine loves eating treats and running in a yard. She is easy to walk on a leash, and is housetrained.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Excellent Elli

Elli is a 6-year-old special-needs girl who is in foster care via Northeast Animal Rescue.

The cat is deaf, and has a congenital condition that affects her motor skills. She is able to walk, eat and use the litter box without assistance, but has trouble with stairs and getting down from high structures. She’d do well in a quiet, low-key household by herself with another laid-back cat.

Elli is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
