Teen escapes Frankford abduction attempt

A 14-year-old schoolgirl escaped a would-be abductor after a struggle on a Frankford street last Friday.

The victim was walking to school at about 7:30 a.m. on the 2100 block of Granite St. when an unknown man in a Scream mask exited a car, grabbed the girl from behind and tried to cover her mouth, according to police. The victim broke free, ran to school and reported the incident. She described the attacker as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 200 pounds with a gray hoodie, black sweatpants and a Scream mask covering his face. He drove a four-door white sedan, possibly a Pontiac, with tinted windows.
