The Philadelphia Police Department continues to investigate a fatal shooting that took place on May 11 near the intersection of M and Luzerne streets. Responding officers were informed that the victim, a 30-year-old male, had already been transported to Temple University Hospital by private vehicle. The victim, identified as Qidere Johnson of the 1900 block of W. Bristol St., was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, two suspects were arrested and charged with murder: Joshua Thomas-Coleman, 19, of the 4100 block of Greeby St. in Tacony, and Abdul Boyd, 19, of the 1600 block of Granite St. in Frankford.
A third suspect, identified as 21-year-old Amir Earley, also known as “Earley,” of the 4600 block of Mulberry St. in Frankford, remains at large and is wanted for his involvement in the incident. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The Police Department urges anyone with information related to the case to call its tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477). A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Earley. ••
