Another Democrat Passover
The great liberal party of tolerance and inclusion has a big Jewish problem.
As educated readers pointed out last year, Gov. Josh Shapiro was “passed-over” for the VP slot on Kamala Harris’ ticket. As recent books on the 2024 election have also pointed out, a key concern was Mr. Shapiro’s Jewish faith and being a strong supporter of the State of Israel. Ms. Harris was worried that with Shapiro on the ticket, she would lose Michigan and other Islamic voters throughout the upper Midwest.
Now the new Democratic target is their former darling, U.S. Sen. John Fetterman.
I was a very strong critic of Fetterman in 2022. I felt his serious stroke had disqualified him from continuing his run for the open PA Senate seat against Mehmet Oz. However, the voters felt differently. Pennsylvania elected Mr. Fetterman over Mr. Oz.
Of course now Sen. Fetterman has had a remarkable recovery from his disabling illness. So Mr. Fetterman is now a new, rising star of the Democratic Party? Right?
Of course not! Why? Because the AOC/Squad, liberal, radical wing of the “looney Left” wants to give our senator the boot. Why is that? Because John Fetterman is a strong supporter of the State of Israel. See, another Democratic Jewish problem.
The Dems now feel that Fetterman is not quite the radical the Left thought they were first electing in 2022. He made the mistake of supporting Israel. Now of course he is suddenly too ill to serve. Once again, the Dems want to “pass-over” another Democrat because he doesn’t bow down to the Hamas/Hezbollah lobby.
Let’s be clear. Oct. 7 happened because Israel was attacked and over 1100 people were viciously and brutally murdered. Israel has a right to protect herself. Israel should and must root out and defeat all terrorists throughout the Middle East. Period! Regardless of party registration, this is very simple. Israel is our friend and ally. They deserve strong support from America. This should be a bipartisan issue.
Now, what should you do if you are a Jewish, Democratic voter, and you see that your party does not respect Jews and Jewish voters? I would say to my Jewish friends, the Dems do not like Jews. They do not like your religion which means they do not like you. Do as I did. Leave your party. Give your votes to candidates who respect Jews.
I left the Democratic party over 20 years ago, and one reason is their complete lack of respect for Roman Catholics. If your party does not respect your religion, then they do not respect you. The Democratic Party has lost many Catholic and Christian voters over the years. It is time for Jewish voters to wake up. Leave the antisemites of your party.
You do not owe any allegiance to any party that hates your religion. They also do not deserve your support or votes in the future. Support your values and support Israel. Leave the Democratic Party and find a party that respects Jews and Jewish values.

Soft on crime
I’ve been thinking about those 11 people shot in Fairmount Park on Memorial Day, right after Larry Krasner won the Democrat primary in a landslide.
I had a bad feeling when I went to vote at the Pelbano Rec Center, where several divisions were together in one room– and I was the only person there voting.
The Northeast wards went for Dugan, but turnout was low. In fact, only 16 percent of eligible voters citywide turned out to vote.
I have to wonder– do people even care about their city? Or is it that we are so used to Marxism, “free the criminal and blame the victim,” that we are afraid to stand up for law and order?
Is there a darker truth that many Philadelphians want a DA soft on crime, because their families and friends commit a lot of crime?
I am shocked at the nasty public behaviors I see all over NE Philly – especially on the streets. This was once intolerable. Now we just shrug and live with it.
You know the old saying that, “Evil triumphs when good people do nothing.” Well, we’ve become the city of do nothing.

Patting themselves on the back
The taxpayer-funded billboards, mailers and ads from Mayor Cherelle Parker, City Council and other elected officials are a waste of money. It’s just another form of self-gratification. They have to tell the average Joe Blow what they have accomplished. They tell you they are cleaning up Kensington but don’t tell you how the problem has moved up to Mayfair. They are going to build thousands of houses yet they let the so-called Sheriff’s Office sit on thousands of houses (plus past-due real estate taxes). The Sheriff’s office sits on deeds of sold houses, holding back development. Meanwhile, the mayor and City Council sit on their hands and ignore the deteriorating situation in the Sheriff’s Office. Center City and South Philly get two trash pickups weekly and the Northeast neighborhoods get tickets for putting out too much trash. Abandoned cars and tractor trailers parked on residential streets. No police in the districts. People speeding and running red lights at whim with no enforcement. Expired paper tags and no or expired inspection stickers on cars have overrun the city. These billboards are a created award that they gave to themselves to pat themselves on the back. Maybe if they got their heads out of their butts, they could see how badly this city is being run. The Sheriff’s Office is a prime example. How many other offices do we have just like it?
