Officers from the 7th Police District responded Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. to a robbery in progress on the 8200 block of Castor Ave.
An employee of a Brink’s armored vehicle was making a delivery when two armed suspects approached him and announced a robbery. The Brink’s employee fired his weapon at the suspects, who then fled northbound on Castor Avenue in a Nissan.
The Nissan a newer model, black, possibly a Maxima or Altima, with an unknown Pennsylvania tag, with heavy tint on all windows, and black rims.
Eight spent casings were recovered from the scene, and no injuries were reported. The investigation is active and ongoing, being handled by Northeast Detectives.
The armed suspects are described as two black males.
