The 8th Police District, 3100 Red Lion Road, on Tuesday night hosted a National Night Out celebration.

The event featured a DJ, vendors, a visit by the Engine 22 fire truck, face painting, water ice, pretzels, grilled food, snacks, a Chick-fil-A prize wheel and an appearance by the chicken restaurant’s cow mascot. ••

Among those at the 8th Police District were Patti Leneghan, an aide to Rep. Martina White; Cinnamon Hill, community relations officer in the 8th district; and James Green, of the 10th Councilmanic District Neighborhood Community Action Center.
