







Tacony’s annual Fall Festival took place on Saturday afternoon outside Tacony Library, 6742 Torresdale Ave.
The festival featured a children’s costume contest, kids art activities, games, a Splash Tower and live music from Max and the Maniacs, a Halloween band. Trick-or-treaters visited the tables of local organizations for candy and information about their services.
State Reps. Joe Hohenstein and Pat Gallagher were among those in attendance.
Tacony Civic Association announced the winners of the Halloween Decorating Contest. The winners were 6467 Ditman St., 4817 Knorr St., 4400 Disston St., 7112-14 Glenloch St., 6353-55 Ditman At. and 4239 Barnett St. Winners received gift certificates from local businesses.
The celebration was sponsored by Tacony Community Development Corporation, Councilman Mike Driscoll, Tacony Library and Mural Arts Tacony LAB Community Arts Center.
