The Nov. 26 event was sponsored by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98, which also provided families with Thanksgiving dinners.

Among the families who attended were those of Temple University Sgt. Christopher Fitzgerald and Philadelphia Police Officers Brian Lorenzo, Walter DeWitt, Chuck Cassidy, James O’Connor, Pat McDonald, John Pawlowski and Andy Chan, who was severely injured in an accident as he headed to work on Rhawn Street in 2019.

Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel was also in attendance.

The event will continue on Dec. 19 for Christmas and, next year, for Easter. ••
