Tax and spend school district
What a farce. A $62M building for 200 students at AMY at James Martin School. Then you add in a full complement of teachers (for all subjects), administrators and maintenance. No wonder the school district is always asking for more money because it doesn’t spend its money well. The cost per student is astronomical. The district sure spends our tax money well but not smartly.

A big hug for ICE
We now hear calls to defund ICE. A New York City hospital even refused to treat injured police because they thought the men were ICE officers. (NYU, Langone Health.)
Have we gone insane, again? Do we remember the summer of 2020, the calls to “defund” police and the nationwide riots that killed over 100 people? The looting on Aramingo Avenue and in Center City?
I live near and use Bustleton Avenue. The noise, speeding and running of red lights is an epidemic. Our understaffed police have never regained respect nor control of this road.
ICE officers are law enforcement, with a duty to carry out the laws passed by Congress. That is what they are doing. People who harass and interfere with them commit “felonies” and should be jailed. Are we too blind to see this?
It is a national disgrace that some sanctuary cities not only refuse to support ICE, but will not even respond to an ICE officer’s call for help. January 6 was not an insurrection. What is going on in Minneapolis surely is one.
Sadly, two people were killed in Minneapolis, both victims of their own terrible judgment and revved up by the Marxist Left.
Don’t blame ICE. Neither would have died had the police been out controlling the streets as they were supposed to do. The media never mention this inconvenient truth.
I ask the ICE haters (mostly Democrats) so do you want there to be no immigration law enforcement? How about I get to choose what laws I wish to disobey? Start with property tax law to “defund” you.
The dirty truth is the Census is a headcount, and counts illegals the same as citizens. Democrats get the benefits in big cities due to their presence.
ICE has been working peacefully in Philly. Yet DA Krasner, Sheriff Bilal and several City Council members have begun beating their chests like Tarzan against ICE enforcement.
Well, you can all go swing from a tree. If ICE comes to the Northeast, I will sweep the sidewalk, give them each a big hug and bake them cookies.
