Melt ICE

Republicans in Congress voted to confirm all of the members of the most venal and lawbreaking presidential cabinet in US history.

Now that the would-be dictator in the White House is ordering ICE agents to round up law-abiding nonviolent immigrants without due process — where they are even shooting peaceful protesters — what are they going to do about it?

As Republican congresspeople should know, if they took the trouble to inform themselves, troubling ICE ads are recruiting thousands of white supremacists on Spotify and even 4chan-style websites. Therefore, two ice storms have devastated our country: one delivered by the weather and one delivered by Trump administration.

Hope they are not seriously considering to fund ICE when they have seen those swearing, undertrained and unqualified masked agents roughing up and even shooting peaceful American citizens.

A vote to fund ICE is like voting to fully fund Mussolini’s brown shirts. To the contrary, if ICE is not outright abolished as it should be, Congress should pass legislation to send all those unruly tough-guy ICE and CBP agents straight to the border, to discourage future immigration.

Council caters to illegals

City Council forgot a couple of perks with its ICE Out package. It should have included driver licenses, medical cards, SNAP, rental payments and monthly income. Oh, they probably already have most of those benefits. Let’s give them jobs that Philadelphians might get. They undercut the salaries of everyone else. They are illegal. Why is City Council trying to legitimize them? It’s a shame most of Council acts to make progressives happy.
