Surveillance cameras filmed the entire heist, which occurred at the Country Farm store, 6301 Torresdale Ave. The lead robber entered the store at about 6:58 p.m. as employees were closing the business for the night. The crook did not immediately announce a robbery. Instead, he approached a cashier and indicated that he wanted to buy something.

The lead robber then exited the store, only to return a few moments later with a second robber, who had a silver revolver in his hand. The crooks forced two employees to the floor and stole an unspecified amount of cash from the register, along with a cell phone. They ran west on Levick Street.

Police described the lead robber as white or Hispanic, about 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt over a black hooded sweatshirt along with blue jeans, tan boots and gloves. The gunman was described as black, about 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 230 pounds. He wore a black jacket over a white hooded sweatshirt and gloves.
