Northeast History Fair April 11 at Cannstatter’s

The Northeast Philadelphia History Fair will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cannstatter’s, 9130 Academy Road.

The event is free and open to the public.

Keynote speaker Jack McCarthy will talk on Northeast Philadelphia & the Declaration of Independence.

Sam Katz will present an episode of his documentary series In Pursuit: Philadelphia and the Making of America.

“Bob the Blacksmith” will lead a Northeast 250: Threads of History participatory history/art project.

There will be more than three dozen exhibits from local history groups and a collection of books, maps, prints and rare photographs. ••
