Lecture April 6 on Benjamin Rush

The Poquessing Trail of History will present Benjamin Rush: Civic Activist on Monday, April 6, at 7 p.m. at Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush High School, 11081 Knights Road.

The event is free.

Rush was a physician, founding father and signer of the Declaration of Independence who was considered one of Philadelphia’s leading citizens of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Stephen Fried, author of Rush: Revolution, Madness & The Visionary Doctor Who Became A Founding Father, will speak about Rush’s life and times and activism.

Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing.
