Too many speed bumps

Call me a curmudgeon, but it seems to me that the city is going a bit overboard installing these speed bumps.

Balanced coverage, please

Just finished this week’s NE Times & once again noticed that the only letters regularly published come from the Three Musketeers of the Conservative Right. Mr. Donofry, Ulus & Iaconelli consistently spout their views supporting strictly ultra-conservative views. Are there no liberal readers, or is it the policy of the Times to print only 1 viewpoint? Balanced coverage supports all of the freedoms our vets have fought for & all citizens deserve.

Money pit

The mayor raises taxes and fees for the school district, which wants to close underutilized schools. Gauthier wants to keep underutilized schools open. OK, taxpayers, open your checkbooks, the people running the city and the district are probably the 32% who didn’t graduate from our illustrious over-subsidized under-performing school district. The district has lost student population for the last 50 years yet the tab gets bigger every year.
