Members of the Take Back Your Neighborhood civic association last month unanimously approved development of a property at Levick Street and Roosevelt Boulevard.
The proposal is for the area near an existing Boston Market and health-care facility.
At present, there are two abandoned buildings that were once home to a furniture store. They will be demolished.
TD Bank has signed a 20-year lease to open a branch on site.
Construction will begin next year.

• Dr. Val Arkoosh spoke about why she believes she is the best candidate in next year’s race in the 13th Congressional District.
Arkoosh is in a four-way Democratic primary with state Sen. Daylin Leach, state Rep. Brendan Boyle and former U.S. Rep. Marjorie Margolies. She bills herself as a problem-solving doctor who can help end the infighting in the House of Representatives. The election is May 20, 2014.
“I want to bring a different kind of voice to Congress,” she said.
• Rhawnhurst Turning Point will hold “A Night at the Museum” on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rhawnhurst Presbyterian Church, 7701 Loretto Ave. Guests will view student artwork and hear from teachers, students and parents. Light refreshments will be served.
Rhawnhurst Turning Point caters to sixth- through 12th-graders. It offers homework help; access to computers, printers, the Internet and video games; a safe and quiet place to gather after school; art and music classes; and various weekend activities.
