Philadelphia police are investigating a Tuesday morning school bus accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian.
According to news reports, the incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Frankford Avenue near Cottman Avenue. The bus struck a woman in her 20s, who died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported to police and no other vehicles were involved, according to news reports. Officers from the Accident Investigation Division were continuing their initial investigation on Tuesday afternoon as the Northeast Times went to press. ••
