The FBI is trying to identify the robber, who entered 3rd Federal Bank, at 4625 Frankford Ave., at about 9 a.m. He pointed a handgun at patrons and verbally demanded cash from a teller, authorities said. The crook obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, which he stuffed into an orange bag, then ran from the bank in an unknown direction.

Authorities described the robber as black, in his early 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and slim. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with a Nike “swoosh” logo on the left chest, as well as a dark baseball cap. Surveillance photos also show him wearing white earphones with the cord dangling down his chest, similar to those distributed by Apple with their iPhone and iPod devices.

Call the FBI at 215–418–4000 to report information about the case. ••
