Spring & Annual NE Sports Award Winners Unveiled

The Northeast Sports Awards Banquet honors coaches and student-athletes throughout the school year. A full list of all the winners of this year’s banquet (to be held Wednesday, May 15, at Cannstatter’s, from 6–10 p.m.) will be published in the May 8 edition. Catholic League Baseball Player of the Year: Mike O’Hanlon, Father Judge

Softball Coach of the Year: Ken Tomczuk, Frankford

Public League Softball Player of the Year: Danielle Corr, Frankford

Catholic League Softball Player of the Year: Lindsey Gibbs, Little Flower

College Player of the Year: Aaron Wilmer, Delaware Valley College

Holy Family Male Athlete of the Year: Dodji Freitas, soccer

Holy Family Female Athlete of the Year: Erin Mann, basketball

Most Courageous Award: Matthew Ragan, Northeast

Sportsmanship Award: Joe Galasso, Father Judge

Unsung Hero Award: Malik Adams, Northeast

Northeast Philadelphian Award: Joey Steward, Roman Catholic

Male Scholar Athlete of the Year: Steven Smith, Franklin Towne

Female Scholar Athlete of the Year: Molly Scullion, Nazareth

Male Athlete of the Year: Daquan Bohannan, Northeast

Female Athlete of the Year: Claire Alminde, St. Hubert

Lifetime Achievement Award: George Todt, Archbishop Ryan
