Domestic dispute turns fatal in Crescentville

A domestic dispute was the motive for a fatal stabbing early Sunday in Crescentville, Philadelphia police said.

Officers were called to a house on the 600 block of E. Carver St. at 3:36 a.m. and found Shawn Rodgers, 30, suffering from a stab wound of the chest. He was taken to Albert Einstein University Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:21 a.m.

Police arrested Porchia Holloway, 25, and charged her with murder and related offenses. She is being held without bail.

Both Rodgers and Holloway were identified as residents of the house. The nature of their relationship was not disclosed. ••
