Shamrock Shuttle headed to Mayfair

The Mayfair Business Association is hoping the upcoming Shamrock Shuttle goes on without incident.

Lisa Greco, treasurer of the group, attended a recent meeting that included bar owners and officials of the Mayfair and Holmesburg civic associations and the Mayfair Town Watch.

The bar owners agreed to rent 75 portable toilets, but declined to accept a request that they also pay for private security guards. They will also free up parking spaces in front of their establishments so the shuttles do not have to double-park.

The Shuttle will take place on Saturday, March 3, from 1 to 6 p.m. The cost is $10, which includes a wristband for the shuttle and a souvenir cup with one full beer. The cost is $20 for the wristband, cup, beer and T-shirt.

The following bars are participating: Casper’s Place, Cappy’s Cafe, Coach’s Bar & Grill, Fluke’s Restaurant & Pub, Hammerheads Bar & Grill, Harrington’s, Kilbane’s Irish Pub, McNoodles Irish Pub, Owen’s Cafe, Reale’s Sports Bar & Grille, Sheffield Tavern and Tom’s Sportsman.

More information is available on the Shamrock Shuttle fan page on Facebook.
