Spin with the Phanatic

Twenty preschool children had a Phantastic day.

The Phillie Phanatic and Phillies ballgirls joined a parade of 20 preschool children with autism last Friday to celebrate SPIN Inc.’s new Discovery Yard, an outdoor science classroom at the early childhood center at 10521 Drummond Road.

Thanks to a $10,000 grant from Phillies Charities Inc., the SPIN Discovery Yard was transformed from an underutilized play space into a fully equipped, interactive classroom.

The children’s stroll in the playpark culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the entrance to the Discovery Yard, led by SPIN CEO Kathy McHale. ••
