Larry Holman, former Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy, spoke to the audience about how life for veterans and the country has changed recently.

Larry Holman, a Northeast Philadelphia native who served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy and commander of the Department of the Pennsylvania Jewish War Veterans of America, was the featured speaker. He spoke about how the world has changed since the Vietnam War.

“The challenge for humanity is for each human being to see him or herself as a sovereign human being, and recognize their sovereignty by ignoring all that separates and divides human beings from one another,” he said.

The program was followed by a luncheon and entertainment provided by vocalist Gregg Albert.
