Santa at Holmesburg Library

Santa Claus will greet children and pose for pictures on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Holmesburg Library, 7810 Frankford Ave.

The event, sponsored by Friends of Holmesburg Library, will include cookies and make-and-take holiday crafts. Call 215-685-8756. ••

Santa is coming to town

St. Hubert High School’s faculty scholarship fund committee will sponsor Brunch with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The school is at Torresdale and Cottman avenues.

The cost is $15 for brunch and $5 for pictures with Santa. The menu consists of eggs, pancakes, bacon, chicken nuggets, french fries, juice, coffee, tea and water.

Activities will include coloring, letters to Santa, ornament making, a selfie station, dancing, reindeer food making, face painting and a performance by Anna Marie’s Academy of Dance.

Christmas bazaar at Ryerss

The Friends of Ryerss Museum & Library will sponsor a Victorian Christmas Bazaar & Open House on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The museum is located at 7370 Central Ave., in Burholme Park.

The day will include a visit from Santa Claus, crafts, gifts, lunch, live music, raffles, festive decorations, home-baked goods, used book sale and fresh wreaths and holiday decorations for sale. Call 215-685-0544 or visit ryerssmuseum.org. ••

Christmas concert on Sunday

St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 7965 Fillmore St., will host a Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 3 p.m. The concert is free. All are welcome.

Service will offer hope during the holidays

Immanuel Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, will host a “Hope for the Holidays” service on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 2:30 p.m.

The worship experience is meant to give encouragement and hope for people, especially those coping with the loss of a loved one, who find the Christmas season difficult.

There will be prayers, scripture and music, followed by light refreshments and fellowship.

Santa at Philadelphia Mills

Christmas bazaar at All Saints’

All Saints’ Torresdale Episcopal Church, 9601 Torresdale Ave., will host its 47th annual Christmas bazaar on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6-7.

The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 7.

There will be a craft room, Christmas store, white elephant, religious items, a country store, Santa’s workshop, a 50/50, photos with Santa, raffles and food. Pets are welcome to sit on Santa’s lap.

Holiday vendor fair on Dec. 15

The St. Hubert High School parents association will sponsor its annual holiday vendor fair on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria, 7320 Torresdale Ave.

The event will feature holiday gifts, stocking stuffers, raffles, a tombola table and homemade baked goods, and the school store will be open to buy gifts for students and alumnae. For information, email [email protected]. ••
