“You should know that ShopRite is prepared, and we have implemented the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended protocol to reduce the spread of the virus,” they wrote.

The employee is no longer in the workplace.

The store, at Frankford and Morrell avenues, has also notified any colleagues who may have been in close contact for a prolonged period of time, and is requiring them to self-quarantine for a period of 14 days.

In addition to following CDC protocols, the store has implemented its own enhanced sanitation process, including all workspaces used by the employee, and common areas.

ShopRite urges anyone who is sick to not come to the store.

In general, the store encourages people to cover their coughs and sneezes, wash their hands regularly, not touch their face and practice social distancing.

“We are proud of the amazing dedication our associates are demonstrating, and we thank them for their service to our customers. Please join us in wishing our associate well and a speedy recovery. Wishing continued good health to you and yours,” the McMenamins wrote. ••
