Congratulations to these Northeast Philly scholars

Megan Frain

Megan Frain, of Bustleton, graduated from the University of Tampa on Dec. 5. Frain graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She is a graduate of Maternity BVM and Nazareth Academy High School (class of 2017). The virtual commencement ceremony included 618 undergraduate and graduate candidates. Each graduate received a personalized video commemorating their achievement. ••

Seven students from East Stroudsburg University will participate in The Osgood Center for International Studies Virtual Presidential Inauguration Program, Jan. 11-21. The participants include Jessica Null, a political science major, and Shakira Page, a criminal justice major. This two-week seminar, conducted every four years, includes opportunities for ESU students to interact with journalists and media observers. ••

Elana Kline, a freshman at Biola University (California), was among 338 freshmen who received one of the college’s highest scholarships – the President’s or Provost’s scholarship – for the 2020/2021 academic year. Kline is studying Cinema and Media Arts at Biola. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.2 while taking courses at Biola to receive the scholarship the following year. ••
