A female employee was shot in the back after two men demanded money.
Police have released surveillance video of two men attempting to rob the Tasty Donuts shop on the 1500 block of Pratt Street.
Police were called to the shop around 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 21 after one of the men shot a female employee in her back. Police said she was shot after the men demanded money from the cash register and she attempted to make her way to the back of the store.
The video, available on Philadelphia Police YouTube channel and the Northeast Times website, shows the two men entering the store and waiting while their order is prepared. When the employee hands one of the men the bag beneath a glass divider, the man violently grabs her arm and points a gun at her.
She pulls away, and the man jumps under the glass divider on the counter to shoot at her.
Both men are black and were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up.
