A 44-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday morning in the parking lot of the ShopRite at 6301 Oxford Ave.

Officers in the 2nd Police District responded at 3:07 a.m. and found the victim with a gunshot to the chest. Medics pronounced the man dead at 3:18 a.m.
The victim was identified as Brian K. Crooms, of the 5600 block of Jackson St.
An arrest was made. Police said the motive was an argument. ••
