An unidentified man robbed a bank in Upper Holmesburg on Tuesday. Authorities believe the same robber also struck the same bank in January.
Both hold-ups occurred at Republic Bank, 8764 Frankford Ave. Tuesday’s crime happened shortly after noon when the bandit approached a teller, verbally demanded money, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. He was last seen heading northbound on Frankford, according to the FBI.

The same man robbed the same bank on Jan. 24, the FBI said. He was described as white, in his late 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and thin. On Tuesday, he wore a dark hoodie, torn blue jeans, a dark baseball cap and sneakers.
