VITAS Healthcare recently held a re-opening ceremony to celebrate renovations of its inpatient hospice care unit at Nazareth Hospital, 2601 Holme Ave. The unit is on the second floor of the Holy Family Building.

Inpatient hospice care is designed for patients with terminal illnesses who require care that cannot be provided at home.

VITAS believes that the best therapy for hospice patients is the comfort of family, friends and loved ones. Its inpatient units are open 24 hours, seven days a week to accommodate all visitors, including children and pets. There is room for those who wish to spend the night.
