Police detectives hope that surveillance video of the heist will help them identify the unknown bandit, who entered the business at 6865 Rising Sun Ave. at 11:48 a.m., pointed a gun at a clerk — a 37-year-old man — and demanded money. After the employee surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, the robber fled, running toward Longshore Avenue. The robber was described as light-skinned, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, thin, with a black hoodie, black pants, a mask and gray or black and red sneakers.

Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view surveillance video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information. ••
