Candidate spreads Christmas cheer

Jim Pio, the Republican candidate in the 172nd Legislative District, joined his wife and campaign staff in preparing a Christmas food basket for a local family. Fox Chase resident Georganne Schleinkofer introduced Pio to a family that needed a helping hand.

“In our community, the holidays are meant to be shared with friends and family, and a lot of this happens at the dinner table. As a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia, I understand how important it is to families in our community to share a good meal with each other over the holidays. I have always believed that it is very important to help my community whenever I am in a position to do so. Although I love the Northeast, our community certainly has its problems. That is why I am running for state representative. I am asking for my neighbors’ votes so I can do even more to help my community by bringing their voice to Harrisburg,” Pio said.
