Philadelphia police are trying to identify three men involved in the fatal shooting of a Wissinoming man on Aug. 30.
Detectives believe the men targeted the victim, Joel Henderson, 28, of the 5000 block of Homestead St., for undisclosed reasons.
The gunfire erupted at 9:12 p.m. at Comly and Milnor streets, about a block from Henderson’s residence.
Police found the victim lying in the street with several wounds. He was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale and pronounced dead at 10:04 p.m.
Witnesses told police that the shooter and two other men fled the scene in a silver Nissan sedan. No further descriptions were available.
Henderson has had a history of drug-related run-ins with Philadelphia police. He was arrested at least six times on drug distribution or possession charges from January 2001 through last December and was convicted and sentenced to prison in two cases. ••
