Toys for Tots campaign gets help

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, Philadelphia Fire Department and Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter of the American Red Cross have joined forces this holiday season to deliver smiles and good cheer to children and families.

All Philadelphia firehouses have been designated as Toys for Tots drop-off locations. The firehouses are prepared to receive donated, unwrapped toys from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Checks or cash donations cannot be accepted at those locations.

During 62 years of the Toys for Tots program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to 188 million needy children. The Philadelphia Fire Department and the American Red Cross recognize the value of the program and have pledged their support. for it. ••
