Gaelic games championships on tap at park on Labor Day

Pennypack on the Delaware, a riverfront park at 7777 State Road (at Rhawn Street), will host the 2012 North American Gaelic Athletic Association Championships on Labor Day weekend.

Men and women will compete in hurling and camogie, which are games played with wooden sticks and balls. Also, guys and gals will play Gaelic football games, where the object is to pass a ball to lead to scoring opportunities.
