Police are looking for two men who took $10,000 from the safe of a Cottman Avenue fast-food restaurant early on Aug. 29.
At 5:10 a.m. on that date, a man entered McDonald’s restaurant at Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, purchased food and sat at a table, according to police. The man was joined by another man, who then went to the bathroom and came out covering his face and armed with a silver and black handgun. The two men went behind the restaurant counter and forced a supervisor to open the safe. With the cash, the men left the restaurant and drove away in a dark auto.
Both men are described as black, 20 years old, 6 feet tall and wearing blue hooded sweat shirts. The armed man was wearing blue pants and gloves. The other robber was bearded and wearing jeans. Adidas was printed on the front of his sweat shirt.
