A 23-year-old Summerdale man was shot in the abdomen early Oct. 5 in the driveway behind his home on the 5200 block of Roosevelt Blvd.
Police spokeswoman Officer Jillian Russell on Tuesday said the man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and is in stable condition. Russell said the victim was walking up a rear driveway on the west side of the Boulevard when he was approached by an armed man who demanded money. The two men quarreled and the victim was shot, she said.

The gunman is a 20-year-old slender black man with a dark complexion who was wearing a dark blue Nike jacket and a black skullcap.
