Police are investigating an officer who is accused of a sexual assault in the Northeast, police said Tuesday.
The officer, who is the subject of an open investigation by the Police Department’s Internal Affairs Unit, was not named, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a police spokeswoman, who said the date of the alleged assault or other details were not being released.
