State Rep. John Sabatina Jr. (D-174th dist.) thanks the community for its donations of blankets and thermal underwear for St. Francis Inn Ministries, a Kensington-based charity that serves the poor and homeless.
Residents and local businesses dropped off the items at Sabatina’s district offices, and the donations were recently taken to St. Francis headquarters on Kensington Avenue.
In addition, three St. Basil Academy class of 2012 graduates, who asked to remain anonymous, baked about 50 boxes of cookies for delivery to the shelter. ••
