Pennsylvania state troopers arrested 37 motorists for driving while under the influence during the Labor Day holiday enforcement period that ran from last Friday through Monday. Troopers investigated 82 highway crashes in Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery counties, including 16 that resulted in injuries. There were no fatalities. Five crashes were alcohol-related.
In addition, troopers issued 985 traffic citations, including 342 for speeding and 90 for seatbelt or child safety seat violations. ••
